Same Map

Make sure you are both looking at the same map. You know, in the car, on the ride to the destination you agreed to get to. It's okay to be quiet sometimes. It's ok to be loud sometimes too. It's ok to look out different windows - the view will be different for both of you. And there will be tears - both laughter and bicker - remember this is not a game of who is to be quicker. Listen to music but don't let it silence your talks. Remember to always talk - with kindness, understanding, and love. Drive through the storms. Smile at the rainbows. Take turns behind the wheel. But stay in the car. Check the route often. Make sure you are both looking at the same map.
